The CSU is a compact electronic power supply unit for X-ray sources. It includes high voltage supply, regulated filament power supply, interlock input, USB interface and connection for tube protection housing including shutter control.

The device can be used manual in the stand-alone mode or via remote control by software.

The CSU is available in two package options

It has on the back:

• a wide range voltage input 90-260 VAC 50/60 Hz 150 W
• a high voltage output 0-50 kV with 0-2 mA, limited to an output power of 50 W with an accuracy of 0.01%
• a DC filament supply with a current up to 3.5 A at a maximum voltage of 5 V
• a "Tube Housing" connector with integrated shutter, shutter position monitoring and fan for forced cooling (e.g. iMOXS from IFG)
• an interlock connection for two separate safety circuits (door switch)
• a connection for an external, electronically controlled 24 VDC signal lamp (lights up when high voltage is applied, optional if shutter is opened)
• an interface port that provides the options to send the switching states of the CSU to other systems or to remote control the device
• a galvanically isolated USB port for convenient control of the device via a PC program (DLL's for integration into custom applications are available)

on the front:

• an EPO switch (emergency stop) for the two-phase separation of the device from the power supply
• a key switch that can only be inserted and removed in the "OFF" position
• a control panel that allows you to set all the relevant parameters for the operation of the device (local or remote) and the emitter (digital setting and displaying for voltage and current of the emitter)
